Our Programs

All of our programs are based on proven evidence based methods that have been refined and perfected over the course of many years of working with real people who have real lives and real challenges to overcome. Every program is also modified to suit the individual needs and abilities of every new client based on the outcome of your Personal Assessment and Planning Session.

We also go to great lengths to make sure our programs are straightforward and clearly explained in plain English, so that you will always understand exactly what's expected of you at each stage of your program. That's especially important to us, because experience has taught us that when we keep things simple, you'll be better able to focus on what you need to do, which will dramatically enhance your results.

Popular Programs

Although every program is customized based on individual needs, and it's impossible to list every possible program variation; we've found that most people are interested in one of the following overall categories of program, and the descriptions often help people to clarify what they want.

Please keep in mind however, that everything you need is unlikely to be included in the descriptions we've provided, and that we will go into much greater detail regarding your individual needs during your assessment. This information is simply here to get you thinking about what you want.

Format Options

Most of our programs are available in Personal or Semi-Private format. Please refer to the following sections for an explanation of each, or contact us regarding any other options you'd like to discuss.

Personal Training

Personal Training is still the best choice for many people; especially when getting started. It works particularly well for those who are starting off at a low level of fitness or lack some of the basic skills and abilities needed to exercise effectively. It may also be the best option for people with specific objectives they need or want to work towards that might not fit well within a semi-private program structure.

If you're recovering from an injury, have a health condition or muscular problem that limits your ability to exercise, or you're simply nervous and unsure about starting a program, this is also the best option for you.

Some of our clients that start out with personal training do transition to semi-private programs once they’re ready, and we’re happy to try to facilitate that transition when the time comes.

Semi-Private Training

For some of our clients its important to them to be able to exercise with a partner or friend for a variety reasons, and we recognize that having a dedicated training partner can have many important benefits.

Not only is there a financial advantage in the form of reduced monthly fees, but having a partner can tend to reinforce their commitment to the program for some, because it makes the prospect of skipping a workout much harder to justify. When you know someone else besides your Trainer is depending on you to show up, you’ll tend to show up.

In addition, a training partner can motivate many people to try a little harder in their workouts. Even though your Trainer is there to encourage you to try your best, having someone else present can provide even more incentive, and many just find that sharing the experience makes it much more enjoyable.

It's important when considering semi-private training that the partner you have in mind be someone you think you can exercise effectively with, and who'll be as reliable and committed as you are to the program and the training schedule.

Program Fees

We’re committed to providing great value at a fair price, while keeping our rates simple and straightforward. We don’t aspire to be the cheapest, and we'll never compromise our standards or quality to compete with those who do, but we do aim to make professional training as affordable as we can.

To keep things as simple as possible, we charge a flat rate per session based solely on the number of weekly workouts and the program format you choose. We don't employ a convoluted rate structure or teaser rates to try to rope people into large up-front comittments.

The following chart illustrates the cost per person for 4-weeks of training based on the weekly training schedules that are most common among our clients. We accept payment of training fees by cash, cheque or E-transfer (applicable taxes are extra).

Please note that if your program must be heavily skewed towards rehabilitation or corrective exercise, Semi-Private training may not be appropriate for you.
